Hope Water Projects

Our Partners

So far, Hope Water™ has partnered with several non-government organisations to undertake well building and water sanitation projects throughout Australasia:

  • Rotary International: Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) and Water Saves Lives.
  • ChildFund (Vietnam)

Hope Water is continually working with partners to deliver sustainable water and sanitation projects. The more bottles of water we sell, the more people we can provide clean water to. You can help by making the choice to drink Hope Water™. Together we can change this planet, sip by sip.

We have also partnered with Eyes Wide Open to facilitate opportunities for people to get more involved in our projects. Through this humanitarian travel organisation, you can see the impact Hope Water™ is having in developing communities and at the same time, undertake some grassroots humanitarian work.

East Timorese Projects

Hope Water™ has contributed to construction of two large water well and pump systems in a small village located in East Timor called Lautem. These water wells have provided clean drinking water for two communities, including a school of seventy children. Prior to the installation of these wells, members of these villages would walk seven kilometres into Dili to collect water. Or, they would be forced to bath in and drink water from contaminated deposits in and around the village.

Hope Water™ contributed to this project via Rotary International’s Water Saves Lives program. Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) and Water Saves Lives are heavily involved in providing clean water supplies to villages throughout the developing world.

Vietnamese Projects

In partnership with ChildFund Vietnam, Hope Water™ recently constructed six household wells in the Bach Thong District of Bac Kan Province, Vietnam. The project’s aim was to improve access to safe water for disadvantaged households living in six communes throughout the province.

The project involved:

  • scoping out a construction site
  • testing water sources to ensure the quality of the water meets the criteria of the Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Rural and Agricultural Development.
  • Developing technical designs
  • Digging and building the well
  • Quality testing.

This well building project utilised local labour and will be tested annually by ChildFund’s WatSan (Water Sanitation) program manager.

This project alone has provided a safe, clean and sustainable water source for the villagers living in Bac Kan Province. Clean water will help to reduce reproductive tract infections in women and water-borne diseases which commonly occur in children in this region. These families no longer have to walk for hours to obtain water. The constructed wells have provided a vast improvement to living standards of these local people.

For all of you who have purchased and continue to drink Hope Water™, thank you. Your decision to drink this brand of bottled water is saving lives.
